Principal’s Report
I would like to inform you that Susan Jeffery has been appointed Principal to our school for term 2. Susan is currently the Principal at Dunalley Primary School and I know we will all make her feel welcome.
The Huon and Channel Swimming Carnival was well represented with students from our school demonstrating a positive attitude and good sportsmanship. Congratulations to all who attended. Mrs Heerey reported that it was a privilege accompanying students with such a great attitude.
Thanks to Dayna who accompanied the team and assisted with marshalling. We appreciate your help.
We have had a number of students lately that have needed reminders about uniform. Wearing school uniform makes us part of the Snug School team. There is a feeling of belonging from students who wear our uniform and a sense of pride. Today our uniform requirements, endorsed by the School Association, will come home as a reminder. Short shorts and skirts are not acceptable. Please see me if you need assistance with providing your child with the correct school uniform.
Our Snug CARES reward system is working well. Students enjoy being 'spotted' following our school rules and we are looking forward to seeing which house group will win the Snug CARES award.

Road and Carpark Safety
Parents, could you please remind your children about the dangers of playing on roads and in carparks. Our community has expressed concern about children playing on Beach Road and in the IGA carpark, particularly.
Please share this image with your kids and check out the link for further information and resources to help them learn more about staying safe.

Kath’s Spot
Timetables, schedules and routines are such a hard thing to juggle, aren’t they? I find in our household we are trying to juggle five completely different schedules and trying to ‘do family life’ amongst it all too.
It’s important isn’t it though, to factor in family time together; time for kids to run around outside and have those moments when you are all able to chat at the dinner table together.
I remember watching an episode of ‘Life at 9’, a series about a group of children each in their own families who caught up with the producers every two years to see how circumstances of life in general effect your learning and life skills. At 9 years of age the child who had the most hours of outside school scheduled activities, was also the child that spent the most time outside playing and spending time with family and friends.
In the juggle of life, and soccer, and music lessons and the rest of it all, don’t forget to have those important conversations together along the way. In fact these will probably become important memories for your children to hold onto in the future.
Many Blessings
