Principal’s Report
Hi Parents, Families and Community,
Term 4 is already a week old, and there is plenty scheduled this term – always a really busy one.
Show Day is next Thursday, so no students at school. No students next Friday either – a student free day, where teachers will be doing professional development.
Our Athletics Carnival is on Tuesday, October 26. The community is invited, but will need to be seated in our designated space.
Community Morning Tea
On Wednesday, October 27, we have a Community Morning Tea. Members of the community are invited to join our chaplain, Kath Dolliver, for a morning tea in our school kitchen. Don’t forget to check in should you wish to attend!
Reading with your children
We all know the critical importance of reading for our youngest. We also know how busy we all are in our lives! We just want to encourage al of our mums and days, grandmas and granddads, uncles and aunties to take the time to read to, and with, our students at home. Developing a love of reading is critical in ensuring success at school.
Morning and Afternoon Drop off
Please just take care at morning an afternoon drop off. We’ve had instances of students stepping out on to the road side of the driveway, and coming close to cars. Where possible, please get students to alight on the footpath side to avoid any issues.

Kind Regards,

Kath’s Spot
Have you ever been stopped in your tracks by a stranger doing something kind for you? Maybe something out of the blue, or unexpected? Maybe they helped you get you and the children to the car, carrying your bags, or paying for your groceries? What was it about this act of the stranger that stood out to you so much? Was it that they went out of their way to help you, was it that they seen you, that they recognised what life was like for you in that moment, or was it the generosity that they showed in the moment?
I think it is really good to reflect on the impact of others actions on us, because then we can see what kind of impact we can have on others if we too can show kindness in unexpected ways. I was reading an article about the upcoming tv series of ‘Parental Guidance’ were the tv series shows the former NRL star Sam Thaiday is shown telling his child at one point it only takes “one second to be brave”.
Sometimes it is hard to be brave, to stand up for others and be kind, or to take a chance and offer support. As we come closer to the end of the year, look for moments to show kindness to others. We are encouraging all our students to do the same, whether it be in the classroom, in the playground, or at home, lets choose to be kind hey.

Many Blessings

Class In Focus – Kinder C
Kinder C have been reading the book Elmer the Elephant. We looked at the things that make us unique. We made a 3D Elmer. All our elephants were different. We had a lot of fun making our elephants.
