Principal’s Report

It has been such pleasure attending the final assemblies this week and seeing the culminating performances of our incredible students. When we reflect on all the achievements and progress made this year, it is little wonder we are all feeling the need for some more energy. We have many new families joining us next year and I know they will feel welcomed and embrace our Snug CARES values of Community, Acceptance, Respect, Excellence and Safety.

2018 is shaping up to be another steady year of learning with few staffing changes. We wish Tracey Ozkilinc all the very best for her retirement and Ms Georgina Maguire a restful long service leave for Terms 1 and 2. We welcome Ms Jo McGruther back to the Prep team.

Can I thank all of our teams – teaching, teacher assistant, admin, grounds and support – for their dedication to making Snug one of the finest schools in Tasmania.

I wish all our families a safe and happy holiday and for those celebrating Christmas, a lovely day on the 25th. We look forward to the new year with all of the new opportunities for learning. As Socrates said:

We have been told we are at high risk for bushfires this season. Please see below for information and a ‘parent release’ form. Please return this form (one per child) to the school office ASAP if you haven’t already. Thank you very much to those of you that have returned the forms already.
