Principal’s Report
What beautiful weather we have had this week. Our thanks go to Dave, Brett, Ruth and Stan for getting our grounds looking amazing as the grass begins to grow and our plants awaken. Snug Primary is set on beautiful grounds and we are very grateful to all those who look after it.
We are once again so proud of our leadership team being featured in the Australian Institute for Teaching and School Leadership webpage and social media sites. Congratulations to Loretta Woolley for her work with the institute outlining what great leaders do in schools. Snug Primary is so proud of the quality teaching and learning programs for our students which happen because of our skilled and dedicated leadership team.

Have a wonderful Term 4!

Kath’s Spot
Yesterday I had the pleasure of being involved in our 'Your Time to Blossom' Pamper Party for our Launch into Learning Mums. What a wonderful time we had together!
It was an opportunity together as Mums, to be able to share about all the highs and lows of parenting.
I was asked to share my advice to Mums, and I thought 'wow, how do you put everything I would like to share into a short statement?'. As I got to thinking, I thought my advice to others would be:
"As a Mum to 4 beautiful boys I have realised as a parent you can never really be fully prepared for whatever comes your way, but step by step you will learn to roll with that. Put all the supports around you that you might need, and do things that'll help you to prepare and then take each day as it comes. Remember that tomorrow is a new day, so start a fresh each day and look for great things in your day. Appreciate the little things, the kiss on the cheek, the smiles and the laughs along the way. Be adventurous, especially with boys, we have rode bikes, hiked mountains, slid down snow, fell into snow, kayaked rivers and rapids, and rock climbed rock faces, all creating special memories in our minds. All of which haven't cost money just time. Love to kids is spelt T.I.M.E.
Your job as a parent is hard work, yet amidst this it is our job to love our children and help them to see how others live, and how they can impact the world in a positive way.
Be all that you can be for your children, but take care of yourself along that journey, because without you being YOU, no one gets your best. Be kind to yourself! No one looks at a child in years to come and can see if they have been born via c-section, or if they were breast or bottle fed. Each child is different and each circumstance is different, so trust yourself and your potential. You were made for these very moments- enjoy them- and in moments when you are feeling low...We'll be there to have your back ❤❤"
Our Pamper Party was run as a Mental Health Week event, so I invite you all to ask someone nearby to you, or far away "How are you going? Are you ok?"
Many Blessings

Class in Focus – Kinder A Possums
Kinder Possums are a busy group of learners. They are curious about the world and this curiosity is the fuel for their discovery, inquiry and learning. They love to role play, construct, create, investigate, explore and discover whilst playing both indoors and outdoors. Every month we display a statement or quote that provokes our thinking about the value of play and inquiry based learning. Here are a few for you to ponder as you browse our photos:
Play is the highest form of research – Albert Einstein
When children say “let’s pretend” a new landscape of possibilities for learning is revealed. When children pretend, they try on new feelings, roles and ideas. They stretch their minds along with their imaginations. – Curtis and Carter
Children must be taught how to think, not what to think – Margaret Mead
