Principal’s Report
Hi Parents, Families, Caregivers and Community,
Snug Jingles
Please set aside the afternoon on December 3rd for our annual Snug Jingles (which takes place on our school grounds) get together. Starting at 4.30pm, there will be food, music, drinks, and an opportunity to gather together to celebrate the end of the year.
Classes for 2024 and Meet the Teacher
On December 8, our students will get to meet their teacher/s for next year – always an exciting time! Reports are also sent home on this date.
Staffing
Our staffing for 2024 is well underway, and we are just in the process of firming up a few roles for next year. We should be very appreciate of the incredible work our teachers and TA’s do at Snug Primary, and we are also very lucky to be welcoming a few highly regarded new teachers into our school next year – more to come!
Prep-Year 2 end of year celebration/performances
Please keep an eye out on Seesaw for your child’s Kinder – Year 2 end of yar celebration or performance. These have now become a staple at school, and are a lovely way for our younger students to shine on the stage in front of friends and family.
Fire Education
Students will participate in Fire Education programs, run by the Tas Fire Service, next week.
Year 6 Orientation
Our year 6 leavers are currently engaged in orientation at their respective 2024 high schools. They are also looking forward to their Big Day Out on December 20, and their Graduation assembly on December 14.
Kind regards

Kath’s Spot
I wonder how you go, as an individual, when you receive feedback? Is it hard or painful, or do you find it easy and look forward to it?
I know for me, I don’t shy away from it, but I do struggle with it. I know it’s because I take it personally, and so I become invested in taking better steps forward in the future. Over the years it has been good for my children to see me asking for feedback, and for me to apologise and take on their words of wisdom. They have seen me be emotional, they have seen me try new things and fail, and try new things and succeed, and all the while they have heard me asking questions from them along the way. The older I get I realise we are all still learners, I still get things wrong and our young people can still teach us so much.
Our habit of the mind this week is excellence, and our students are practising seeking feedback to improve on their learning. This can be challenging, and I think it shows bravery when they step up and ask for feedback. What an encouragement to see, especially our leaders in our school, taking some brave new steps asking others for some ways in which they can bump up their work. That takes courage and we want our students to continue to excel in this area. Lets praise them in moments when they take that step of bravery.
Many Blessings
